February

 

February was a pretty simple month for us. It started with Michelle's mom coming to visit and helping us out with our new baby Jason. We had his baby blessing on the 17th and we were happy to have so much family here. I guess that is a big benefit of living in Texas, near so much family. Special thanks to Robert A and John's family for making the long trip down and back.

Speaking of long trips Matt and Susana came down to visit the Texas Adams' clans. We had fun going to the somewhat cold beach and showing them our new house.

Joseph got adventurous while Michelle's Dad was in town and sought to solve the check engine light problem. He had to take apart the air intake manifold to replace a control valve actuator. It was a lot of work split over two days and it was pretty scary going to start the car after. But it was a success and very satisfying. It was the first of many mechanic jobs to come for sure.

We spent a weekend up in Austin. We were lucky and timed it right for Hunter Eve's birthday. We especially had fun going on a double date with Robert A and Mom to go to see a shakespeare play called "Measure for Measure". It was a fun opportunity to try something new and everyone appreciated the insight that Michelle brought at the intermission from her profound theatre based knowledge... it helped us to understand much better what went on in the first act so we could enjoy the second act. We're grateful for Emily and Lars for watching both boys so we could go to the play.

Michelle, Daniel and Jason are starting to feel better after being sick with bad colds and fevers. Jason had the worst of it getting an ear infection, but with the help of a good doctor and some medicine is recovering well.

Other than that our lives have been pretty normal. Joseph has been working hard and enjoying his job more and more. Michelle is adjusting to being a mother of two. Daniel is getting back into his old rountines with mommy and loves giving his little brother hugs and kisses. Jason is growing and doing well weighing 10 lbs at his 1 month checkup. Life for everyone is challenging and satisfying. We are all happy.
