April was a busy, good month. One of our primary busy things was getting the road show ready and performed. We took it on only about a month before the performance, so it wasnt as polished as we would have liked, but it turned out great anyway! The plot was a series of moral dillemas where people literally sat on a fence and had to choose between good and evil, represented by a shoulder angel and shoulder devil. Joseph played the part of the head devil, and even grew out a beard for the part! The night of the performance he shaved it to resemble that of the character Seneca Crane from the Hunger Games movie. The young men thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Joseph's highlight from April was getting a motorcycle! The weather has been fantastic in our part of Texas for the last couple of months. It is almost as if Spring actually exists in Texas. Who knew, right? His young men also think that this is extra cool.
Joseph also had a elders quorum activity playing disc golf. He tied for first place with brother oden from the bishopric who won the shootoff to win it all. Technically, he's not in the elders quorum which makes Joseph the champion by default, right? ;)
We added another garden bed and planted seeds in it. Hopefully it wasnt too late in the season. I guess we'll see what comes of it. We are contemplating adding another bed or two. We'll see about that too.
Our ward was in charge of the tri-ward mutual activity this month, and the YM took charge. We chose to play giant ball games like crab soccer and Indiana Jones (where you would run away from the giant ball while everyone else would try to "crush" you with it. Joseph couldnt stop laughing, it all was too funny to watch.
About midway through the month, Michelle and the boys flew on the Dow shuttle (for free, yay!) to Philadelphia so she could take a relatively short drive down to Virginia and North Carolina to visit with her parents, brother and sister. She had a blast with her family.
